Today's Gift to Me

I captured last night’s sunset.
Wrapped it tightly and secure.
I plan to carry it daily
Throughout the coming year.

Now, whenever I begin to worry,
About a future I cannot see,
I’ll pull out this shrink-wrapped picture
And remember what used to be.
