Today's Sunset, March 31st

The days of grey pile up on each other …
Like a stack of wet books on a soggy blanket.
I guess that’s what I get for living outside.

Still, the Loons love it!
The ducks don’t mind it either.
Plus, I managed to squeeze out a picture of today’s sunset,

However, wet!

So, there goes the neighborhood!
At least, there goes the view of each day’s sunset for me.

I’ll be looking for another port to drop anchor …

Another place to set up camera.
Another spot to capture a view ,

Of the next day’s end.

Ah, springtime!

Rain and clouds, and more rain …
We haven’t seen the sun all day.

But, I’m sure it’s setting out there somewhere …

Today's Sunset, March 29th

This day draws to its eminent end.
A loon whistles off in the distance,
Sea gulls squawk on the horizon.

Soft, blue lights fade … into darkness.

Today, I saw an osprey scoping out the tower in The Park. I wonder if we’ll be treated to a nesting pair this year. I have my doubts, due to development within yards of the tower. I emailed my concerns to Three Rivers Park District, but they must be busy celebrating spring …

Like we all should be!

You have to be careful as you gaze out upon the black ice this time of year.

As I look out today, I have visions of spring-running rivers in a Northwood wilderness pushing West!

All I really see is cracks in a World gone bad with war and hate and …

Still, God moves my eyes up …

I have no idea what’s up with this day's sun ... the geese know more then me!

I heard about a solar flare that danced on the sun in the news … but, I thought the sun was done set by now!

Been in and out of a fog, since earlier!
No wait … just some foggy weather here!

Well, this day left me with such a sunset ... no complaints here.

Still, I have no idea what was setting on the day’s horizon.

The sunset seemed a bit hotter then the day.
But then, there was the wind … blowin’ out of the west.

I didn’t mind it a bit. I hope all my friends made out okay today.

Somehow, I expected today’s sunset to be darker.

But, in the end, all of God’s finest colors melded together into an image I could not improve upon. That’s just the way God works.

A fine image of today,
I leave behind.
A promise of tomorrow,
Is on my mind.

A brief snow-burst at 6:30 pm wet the ground. It only lasted a few minutes.

The clouds parted, and the sun shown through … ‘Old Reliable’, eh?

I sat and watched this setting sun,
It burned through the clouds like a smoldering coal.

I paused. I took a breath.

I panned the horizon and couldn’t believe what I saw. It was as though a thick, brown haze floated over the farms and valleys just south and west of my home in Spring Lake.

Take a ‘look-see’ for yourself!

I’ve been to The Twin Cities enough to know how clouds of pollution tend to hang over such a ‘melting pot’ of cultures … but, what the **** is it doing in MY backyard?
